Lunchbox Notes for Daddy

Whenever Brad travels for a long a time, we try to do something special for him each day on those longer trips. This year Melody has been big into lunchbox notes. Brad even pre-wrote a few for me to put in her lunch box on Fridays. So we made him his own set for each day he was gone plus a week extra. I wrote some and Melody wrote others. It was a neat way to have him something special each day, and it was something to look forward to while gone.

Brad is 37!

On Sunday we celebrated Brad during 37! Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype of last year’s birthday at Disney, but the pandemic had other plans. (Ironically we were supposed to be at Disney World this week.). We celebrated at home with a lot of Brad’s favorite foods (that aren’t McDonald’s or Wendy’s). I think he had a great laid back, relaxing day of celebrating.

DIY Birthday Cards

Greeting cards are so expensive to buy these days.  We usually buy a large box set from Costco containing a large variety of greeting cards to always have on hand.  However, I like to give Brad something more personal.  For his birthday, I decided to make cards for him from both Melody and me.  See them both below.

Happy Father's Day!

Sunday was Brad's second Father's Day as a daddy.  He is such an amazing dad to Melody.  It is true what they say.  You do see a completely different side of your husband when he becomes a dad.  And you fall in love with him all over again, but for completely different reasons.  I knew he would be an amazing dad.  He is truly a kid at heart.  But seeing him with Melody has been more than I ever expected.  Melody and I love you Brad!
