Ice Cream Banner
Melody's first birthday party was an ice cream themed party. I designed an ice cream cone in the Silhouette software then I used that as a staple throughout the party. One of the things I did was create banners using it. Check them out below.
I purchased card stock from Hobby Lobby. I bought a pack of white, a pack of Earth tones for the browns, and a variety pack of pastel colors. The "main" colors were yellow, pink, and blue, so I used those for the ice cream scoops. I cut the entire cone along with the scoops out of white cardstock so that there was a "backing". It also allowed it to be less flimsy when hanging from the twine. I then used double sided tape to attach each piece starting with the cone and working my way up to the top scoop. Once assembled, I punched holes in the top, then I inserted twine to form the banner.
I made 5 of these banners. One of large ice cream cones to go above the mantel, and then 4 with smaller cones to attach above the food.
