All in Randomness
December was a busy month full of a lot of family, a lot of traveling, and a lot of celebrating!
Back in November, we decided to take some fall family picture while visiting my aunt for our Santa pictures. Not only did we do some of the three of us, we also took some of my entire immediate family.
This year I opted for a less “handmade” teacher fits for Melody’s dance and preschool teachers. As you may know, I have become obsessed with Simplified over the last year or so. I bought a bunch of cute Simplified products when I bought my 2020-2021 planner in April earlier this year.
I love decorating for Christmas. Last year I even was able to buy my dream 12 foot tree for our foyer on clearance after Christmas. So today I wanted to share all of our decor this year! Next year we will need to add some new things as well as replace some of our current things (more on that below).
This year we still decided to meet Santa. My aunt is a photographer, so we at least kept away from the mall version, ha. Melody was still a bit hesitant and didn’t want to talk to him. She even had a few moments that she almost cried. But we still managed to get a few cute pictures.
Since we lost September to start with, we now get another chance at winning the month.
This year Thanksgiving was much smaller than years prior thanks to COVID and life in general. We traveled to Memphis to spend time with Brad’s parents for a few days. We also were able to see his brother, sister in law, and nieces at the end of our trip too.
Even with all of the changes, we managed to win our last game. However, September was also full of more changes.
In August a lot is going to change. Maybe this would have happened sooner had we accomplished more already, but we now have a lot to learn!
October was a month full of a lot of fun! We traveled, we visited with grandparents, the weather got cooler, and we celebrated Halloween!
So we are officially half way through the game (assuming you are basing it solely on the actual months and not the number of games. I feel like we should have already made more progress, but it is what it is. Let’s dive into July and see what it has in store.
We all expected Halloween 2020 to be different and require potentially some creativity. Even with COVID, we found a way to enjoy Halloween with our excited little girl!
In June, we had 53 city cards which meant 8 epidemics, and we also had 8 rationed event cards.
April was bad. That is all I can say about that. Now let’s see if we can recover in May.
So we lost the first part of April, so we get another chance to win for the month before we move onto May.
September has been busy! It is our first FULL month of school, dance, and occupational therapy! We have done some projects around the house, we traveled to see my niece’s baptism, and college football finally started in the SEC. Overall it has been a productive and fun month!
At this point during the game, I started keeping up with a bit more information I found vital that I will share with you. A lot of the information was important until this point in the game as the rules started to change.
