Beaches and Cream Revisited

Mom and I first visited Beaches and Cream back in 2018. The food was ok, but the ice cream was delicious. Brad really wanted to try it, so I was able to snag a reservation for our trip back in February. I also snagged one for mom and I when we went in March. We tried a few new things this time around, so I wanted to share about those.

La Cantina de San Angel

We revisited La Cantina de San Angel when at Disney World back in February. I have eaten here before with my mom. Brad has been here before, but he has never actually had any food here. I really enjoyed my visit with my mom, so I was excited to go back. Brad isn’t a huge fan of Mexican, but he was nice enough to tag along.

Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package Review

When we visited Disney World back in February, we purchased the dining plan. When trying to decide where to use our dining, we planned out all of our days and meals. I have tried Tony’s Town Square before, but Brad never has. And it has been a few years. So we decided to try it again. Well when booking our reservation, I noticed the Festival of Fantasy Parade Package. It cost the same thing on the dining plan (1 table service credit), and not only do you get a great view of the parade, you also get an entree and appetizer. Using a regular reservation and dining plan, no appetizer is included. It seemed like a no brainer. We were not 100% sure if Melody would hold out for the parade, but it was worth a shot.

Katsura Grill

On our trip to Disney World in February, we decide to eat at Katsura Grill again. We ate here back in December of 2017 and really enjoyed our experience. The food was good, and the atmosphere and location were great. So it was only fitting to eat here again.

Boardwalk Joe's

While staying at Boardwalk Inn and Villas back in February, we frequented The Boardwalk itself often. We walked The Boardwalk to get to Epcot every day. We didn’t eat at many places, but we did stop in a few of the quick service places along our walks. We stopped at Boardwalk Joe’s twice. It wasn’t for their margaritas, although those looked great. Instead I was intrigued by their Dole While Smoothies.

2019 Disney Shirts

As you can probably tell from my other blog posts, we have become the family that wears matching shirts, ha! Ever since I got a Silhouette Cameo, we have taken full advantage of this. We have made shirts for Disney, conventions, just because. Well we debated what kind of shirts to do for our trip in February to Disney. We ended up going a different route than the shirts we’ve done in the past. We opted to make shirts of our favorite ride in Epcot, Living with the Land.

Boardwalk To Go

When we stayed at The Boardwalk back in February at Disney World, we decided to try Boardwalk To Go. We were arriving in the evening, and I didn’t want to make a dining reservation in fear of delays. Plus we knew we would likely be paying out of pocket for one quick service meal. So Boardwalk To Go was on the top of our list of places to eat at on this evening. We had a few others we had researched, but the food sounded best here. Plus all the reviews online said it was cash only. So this would be the only opportunity for us to eat here.

March 2019 Disney Trip Report Day Four

So my mom and I went to Disney World earlier this month with Melody. You may have already read about all the planning we did (not much, ha!). Now I want to share with you more about our trip. Below is our trip report from our fourth and last day. We spent half of our day at Magic Kingdom and then we traveled home. Follow along!

March 2019 Disney Trip Report Day Three

So my mom and I went to Disney World earlier this month with Melody. You may have already read about all the planning we did (not much, ha!). Now I want to share with you more about our trip. Below is our trip report from our third day. We spent half of our day at Magic Kingdom and the evening at Disney Springs. Follow along!

Epcot Play Area

So while mom and I visited Disney in September during the Food and Wine Festival, we never made it over to the Epcot Play Area that was available. Every time we would be near there, it would already be closed (it closes at dusk), and so it never worked out. But we made a point on our trip in February to let Melody spend some time here. It was our last day of our trip because again, we spend evenings at Epcot and it would already be closed.

Via Napoli

On our February trip to Disney World, we decided to try Via Napoli. Brad really wanted some Italian, but I have never loved Tutto Italia. Plus we were planning to have Tony’s Town Square later in the week. So we wanted Italian but not just traditional pasta. We had heard great things about Via Napoli with the exception of using it with the dining plan. That was our only hesitation. But after analyzing all of our meals, we opted to just pay out of pocket for this meal and keep the reservation.

DVC Tour

Something we have always wanted to do since our anniversary trip to Disney World is the DVC Tour. We never have the time in our schedule when we visit though. But on our trip back in February we intentionally left time in our schedule to do the tour. Our only concern was whether they would have any availability on the day we wanted to go. I knew you could book online before your trip but I was not sure the perks you would get during your trip for that. And our DVC Tour wasn’t for the perks, by the way. We really are interested. But the perks are nice! Below is our experience of the tour.

Restaurantosaurus

On our Disney trip back in February, we visited Restaurantosaurus again while at Animal Kingdom one evening. We ate here a year ago, but I forgot to take any pictures to do a real review. So this trip I tried something different, and I was sure to take pictures!

March 2019 Disney Planning

Mom and I make an annual trip to Disney World nearly every year for my birthday. We started this when I got out of college. It usually would just be a day or two at Disney and we would tack on a cruise. But since I had Melody, I haven’t wanted to do a cruise yet. So we just do Disney. This year, January was just not ideal. So we postponed until March.

Rose and Crown

So I am really kicking myself in the butt for not trying Rose and Crown sooner. We have had many reservations here in the past, and we have always cancelled them for one reason or another. Well on our trip in February 2019, we finally tried it. And OMG and I am still drooling over it! Let me share with you how simple yet amazing this meal is.

Toy Story Land Early Morning Magic

So back in September, I was lucky enough to attend the Toy Story Land AP Event with my mom and Melody. And since Toy Story Land was so new, it is unlikely we would have visited had it not been for this free event. Well I really wanted Brad to get to experience Toy Story Land, but it is still crazy crowded, and I was unsure of how we were going to accomplish this on our trip back in February. Well then Disney announced Early Morning Magic at Toy Story Land. Unfortunately it isn’t free, but it is only $79 per adult. It gets you prime access to all three rides plus characters and breakfast from 7:30 am (or even 7 am if you opt to eat breakfast first) until park opening. Check out our experience below.
